A field of engineering sciences, related to design, construction and maintenance of buildings, dams, bridges, tunnels, highways and other structures by the use of physical laws, mathematical equations and theories of mechanics. Being a broader field, Civil Engineering is divided into fields such as Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Engineering, and Management.

The B. Tech. programme is a well-designed curriculum meeting the expectations of industry experts who value high fundamental knowledge as well as exposure to new technologies which are visibly present in this industry today.

There are two levels available for Civil Engineering Section.

ELIGIBILITY:

Degree: 10+2 Class Passed Preferably Science (PCM) & English With An Aggregate Of 40% Marks. 

D2D: 10 Class Passed With An Aggregate Of 40% Marks in Diploma Section.

Engineering knowledge

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis

Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions

Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems

Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage

Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

Certified Civil Engineer can work in Government Civil Projects or Private Companies at very high packages.
